This ongoing series explores the intersection of memory, identity, and representation through hand-drawn portraiture and collage. Drawing from extensive research into Old Hollywood actresses—many of whom have been overlooked or forgotten—the work reclaims and reimagines their stories. By juxtaposing their images with fragments from contemporary high fashion magazines, the series critiques the enduring standards of beauty and gender roles imposed by both past and present media. Rooted in feminist inquiry, the series seeks to honor these women’s legacies while challenging the systems that marginalized them.
